Care Alternatives of Massachusetts offers hospice services in the Metrowest, South Shore, and North Shore region. Owned and operated by Claire Weiss, PhD, a licensed psychologist, Mourning Time (Practical Help During Grief and Life After) gives practical help to mourners on the day of the funeral and afterwards. Services include helping ready the home, caring for the primary mourners, making arrangements for out-of-town guests, setting up the funeral luncheon, and helping throughout the shiva. Services are also available following the funeral to help with paperwork, charitable donations, homemaking, decisions about care, estate matters, and the unveiling.

Parmenter's Wayside Hospice offers services in Middlesex county, including the Acton, Bedford, Carisle region. Wayside offers a residential in-patient setting called Miriam Boyd Pavlin, located on the campus of Traditions of Wayland. A traditional in-home service and bereavement program are also available for families and clients. Wayside has been accredited by the National Institute of Jewish Hospices, which helps the staff serve their Jewish clients.
